If your unit is under warranty, call or e-mail for a Repair Authorization Number (RMA number), and send us your unit with that number written on a slip of paper in the package. If your unit is out of warranty, you can order an inexpensive refurbishment here.

No. These materials were specifically selected because they will not react with your skin. However, if your skin is prone to acne, you may get more acne in the area of the sensor pads because your skin will be slightly more moist there. Acne under the sensor pads can be prevented by washing skin with an acne-preventative like Clearasil before putting on the headband.

The biofeedback sound generator is stainless steel. For the vast majority of people, stainless steel is considered hypoallergenic. In rare cases, people may experience an allergic reaction to stainless steel after they have had piercings in their body. Only about one in 1000 customers have a problem with the stainless steel, and that problem can be solved by putting plastic tape over the stainless steel if needed.

The SleepGuard biofeedback headband senses tiny electrical signals that your muscles generate when you clench or grind your teeth. Even though these muscle signals are only about one millionth of the voltage of a flashlight battery, the SleepGuard biofeedback headband can sense and respond to these signals consistently and reliably.
